Similar to the American Hospital Association that accredits
human hospitals but is the small animal veterinary version. We are
a 4-year AAHA-accredited hospital. Less than 10% of all veterinary
hospitals can boast this accreditation status. Hospitals must meet
minimum guidelines for patient care, surgical and anesthetic
protocols, diagnostics, staffing, record-keeping and much more, as
well as be subject to an intensive hospital inspection. This is a
good site to check out more about AAHA and to look for member
veterinarians and hospitals in other locations.
