National organization for veterinary membership


Similar to the American Hospital Association that accredits human hospitals but is the small animal veterinary version. We are a 4-year AAHA-accredited hospital. Less than 10% of all veterinary hospitals can boast this accreditation status. Hospitals must meet minimum guidelines for patient care, surgical and anesthetic protocols, diagnostics, staffing, record-keeping and much more, as well as be subject to an intensive hospital inspection. This is a good site to check out more about AAHA and to look for member veterinarians and hospitals in other locations.

A great website dealing with everything you wanted to know about deaf dogs. There is alot of good information about training a deaf dog and even a great section on describing why dogs become deaf, including common color patterns that can go along with deafness.
